Acceptable levels of risk exposure and of more considerable standard security were identified and compared. Collaboration helped in the comparison between terrestrial and remote-sensing monitoring systems.

Good Practice Examples for Risk Communication

A questionnaire concerning risk communication was created under the leadership of project partner 2 (Raumberg-Gumpenstein). All partners distributed the questionnaire in order to evaluate the needs of the population concerning safety and wellbeing to random samples of inhabitants. Achieved information was collected; the results were evaluated and compiled in a report. These results have been and will in future be very valuable for the project partners, especially for the institutions dealing with civil protection issues, and the natural data service providers.
